Vocational courses and apprenticeships
Updated 30 March 2020
Guidance is currently less clear about the status of vocational courses and apprenticeships. What we do know, however is that no exams will be taking place in schools and colleges this summer. This will obviously affect you if you were expecting to complete a technical or vocational qualification which involved an exam.
At the moment, there isn’t enough information about how each different awarding organisation will respond to the current situation, but it’s likely that any completed modules and non-exam assessment will provide enough evidence to award you a grade.
Keep checking in with the Ofqual website, where this information will be posted when it becomes available.

If you’re currently doing an apprenticeship, the Institute of Apprenticeships will give advice and support, especially if you were due to take an assessment that you haven't been able to do.
You can contact them by email at IFA@education.gov.uk.
